Key Stage 3

Pupils in Years 7-9 work collaboratively and individually with two and three-dimensional media. They learn to deconstruct images, analyse various artists, cultures, and historical periods, and apply this knowledge to their work, becoming both critics and practitioners.

Key Stage 4

We offer GCSE Art, Craft & Design, a two-year course covering techniques such as drawing, painting, graphics, 3D design, printmaking, digital media, and photography. Pupils explore their interests, develop ideas, and work independently.

Key Stage 5

In our Sixth Form, we offer A Level Art, Craft & Design. This two-year course includes a foundation in fine art, printmaking, 3D design, ceramics, and mixed media. Students build a portfolio, leading to a personal investigation and an externally set assignment.

Facilities

Our Art Department is equipped with cutting-edge technology, featuring six art rooms and two darkrooms. Open daily, including lunchtimes and after school, we provide a dedicated space for creative study, especially for our Sixth Form students.
