Drama enhances creativity, communication, and confidence. At Kennet School, we offer an engaging Drama programme that inspires pupils to express themselves and explore theatrical arts.

Key Stage 3

Pupils develop foundational acting skills, explore different genres, and participate in improvisation and scripted performances. Lessons focus on teamwork, creativity, and self-expression.

Key Stage 4

Our GCSE Drama course covers acting techniques, playwriting, and performance analysis. Pupils perform in various styles, create original works, and study significant plays and practitioners.

Key Stage 5

The A Level Drama & Theatre Studies course involves advanced acting, directing, and theatre studies. Pupils perform complex pieces, analyse theatrical works, as well as undertake research projects.

Facilities

The Drama Department features a fully equipped theatre, rehearsal spaces and modern lighting and sound systems, providing a professional setting for both performances and practice. Pupils regularly perform at events and shows, as well as teaming up with our Dance and Music Departments to put on amazing sell-out whole school productions. ​​​​​​
