PTA Raises £30,000

Our PTA has successfully raised an incredible £30,000 in the last academic year, funding key improvements across the school.
Kennet School's Parent Teacher Association (PTA) has successfully raised an incredible £30,000 in the last academic year, funding key improvements across the school. This remarkable achievement has allowed the school to purchase table tennis tables for social areas and install blackout blinds in the school hall, significantly enhancing the experience of school productions and events.
Lyse Moss, Chair of the Kennet PTA, expressed her excitement over the milestone, stating: "We are absolutely thrilled to have raised £30,000 for the school in our first year as a new committee. Having such a proactive team meant we worked hard and enjoyed the journey. Working alongside the school has been a pleasure, as they’ve been very supportive. Our target this year is to raise enough to purchase a minibus, and we look forward to the challenge!"
The PTA's dedication and collaboration with the school have made a direct impact on improving pupil life, from enhancing social spaces to transforming the school’s performance venues.
Ms G Rigg, Headteacher, shared her gratitude: "We are incredibly fortunate to have such a committed and enthusiastic PTA. Their fundraising efforts have made a tangible difference to the school environment, benefiting both pupils and staff. The new blinds have elevated the quality of our productions, and the table tennis tables have created a wonderful addition to our social spaces. We are excited to support the PTA as they embark on their next ambitious project!"
Looking ahead, the Kennet PTA is setting their sights on another ambitious goal: raising enough funds to purchase a school minibus. With the momentum from last year’s success, the PTA is ready to take on this new challenge and continue their invaluable work in supporting the school community.
