Sixth Form Musicians Take Centre Stage at Shaw House

Kennet Sixth Form's talented musicians took to the stage at Shaw House for an evening of live performance.
Kennet Sixth Form's musicians took to the stage at Shaw House for an evening of live performance celebrating the talent, dedication and musical journeys of Year 13 students during their time at Kennet School.
The annual recital brought together pupils, staff and families for a varied programme of music, featuring both ensemble and solo performances.
The evening featured performances from the Year 12 Ensemble and Kennet’s Chamber Choir, alongside a series of solo performances from Year 13 students.
Ahead of each solo performance, Mrs Tylden (Head of Music), introduced the students and reflected on their musical journeys at Kennet, from learning new instruments and developing their voices to performing as part of the school’s many musical groups.
The recital highlighted the breadth of musical talent within the Sixth Form and provided an opportunity to celebrate how far students have progressed during their time at the school.
A wide variety of instruments and styles were represented across the evening, with solo performances including voice, clarinet, bass guitar and classical guitar.
