Key Stage 4
Our GCSE Business course covers fundamental concepts such as marketing, finance, operations, and human resources. Pupils learn about business ethics, entrepreneurship, and the economic environment, developing skills through case studies and real-world applications.
Key Stage 5
We offer two business-related courses in the Sixth Form: A Level Business Studies and T Level Business Management & Administration. Both courses are two-years' duration.
The A Level Business course delves deeper into business strategy, decision-making, and global business issues. Pupils analyse complex business scenarios, conduct market research, and explore business operations in various contexts.
The T Level Business Management & Administration course offers a minimum of nine weeks' hands-on practical experience working with an employer on an industry placement. Pupils will develop an understanding of a broad range of issues relevant to the sector, including business context, project and change management, business behaviours, quality and compliance, plus two specialisms (business administration and business support).
Facilities
The Business Department features modern classrooms with interactive technology and access to business simulation software, providing pupils with hands-on experience in managing and analysing business operations. Throughout the academic year, we host a wide range of co-curricular opportunities for pupils, including trips and guest speakers, as well as work placement opportunities which offer hands-on experience in their chosen fields.
