Lip Sync Battle Laughter

The highly anticipated Sixth Form Lip Sync Battle, a hilarious lunchtime of talent, creativity and some truly unforgettable performances.

A firm favourite in the Kennet Sixth Form calendar returned with a bang! On Friday, 13 December, students and staff came together for the highly anticipated Sixth Form Lip Sync Battle, a hilarious lunchtime of talent, creativity and some truly unforgettable performances. Organised by Sixth Form students, this lively event raised £500 for Mind, the mental health charity, and once again proved to be a highlight of the year.

The Lip Sync Battle saw teachers and students go head-to-head, delivering show-stopping routines that had the crowd in stitches. From glittering costumes to perfect lip-syncing, every act brought something special to the stage. A huge congratulations to this year’s overall winners, B. Oelofse, B. MacDonald and M. Burchett, whose rendition of JoJo Siwa’s 'Boomerang' won the audience and judges over with its energy and flair.

Special awards were also presented for some outstanding performances:

  • Best Dressed: Mrs Norrish and Dr Gemmell for their dazzling take on Elton John and Kiki Dee’s 'Don’t Go Breaking My Heart'.
  • Best Student Act: J. Cook, A. Turner, L. Kirk and A. Swan, who wowed with their sassy performance of Chappell Roan’s 'Hot to Go'.
  • Best Teacher Act: Miss Du Preez, Mrs Stubbs, Mr Pocock, and Mr Clegg, who delighted the crowd with the Mean Girls version of 'Jingle Bells'.

Well done to all the performers and a special thanks to the students for their hard work in organising this fantastic event. Their efforts ensured a brilliant lunchtime of laughter and spirit, all whilst supporting an important cause.
