Kennet Teachers 'Brave The Shave' for Movember

Ten of our teachers braved the shave on Friday 28 November, raising essential funds for The Movember Foundation.
Friday 28 November saw an inspiring display of solidarity and good humour as ten of our teachers took part in Movember and stepped up for our highly anticipated ‘Brave the Shave’ event, helping raise £275 for The Movember Foundation.
The Main Hall was buzzing with excitement as pupils and staff gathered to watch the lunchtime event unfold. Before the shaving began, organiser Mr Rosser addressed the audience, speaking passionately about Movember and the vital work it does to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues, including mental health, suicide prevention, and prostate and testicular cancer.
After a week of enthusiastic voting, the moment finally arrived to reveal which moustache styles our participating teachers would be wearing, and they did not disappoint. Fellow staff and Sixth Form students were given the honour of crafting the winning looks, which ranged from the immaculately curled Handlebar to the sleek and precise Pencil, all the way to the bold and unmistakable Horseshoe.
The fun didn’t end there - our ten brave ‘Mo Bros’ will be proudly sporting their new styles for the entire week, much to the delight of pupils around the school.
Mr Rosser, event organiser, said: “A massive thank you goes out to everyone who donated, voted, shaved, or cheered on our staff during the event. Your support helped make the day a resounding success and contributed directly to raising essential funds for a cause that impacts so many.”
Kennet School commends its fantastic Mo Bros and expresses gratitude to the wider school community for their generosity and enthusiasm.
