Year 13 Students Celebrate the End of an Era
Year 13 Kennet students celebrate their achievements and journeys with a vibrant and heartfelt Celebration Day.
Kennet School proudly celebrated the achievements and journeys of its Year 13 students with a vibrant and heartfelt Celebration Day. The event marked the culmination of their time at the school before they begin exams and take their next steps beyond Sixth Form.
The day began with a colourful parade of students dressed in a wide array of creative and imaginative fancy dress outfits. As they arrived at school, they were welcomed in style by a guard of honour formed by enthusiastic Year 7 pupils, lining the pathway and cheering them on. The joyful procession set the tone for a day filled with pride, nostalgia and community spirit.
Later in the day, students and staff gathered for a celebration assembly. The event featured a series of awards recognising academic achievements, personal growth and contributions to the school community. It was a chance to reflect on shared memories, express gratitude to teachers and peers, and mark this important milestone together.
Head of Sixth Form, Mr R Tamale, said: “Celebration Day is always a special moment in the school calendar. It’s a chance for us to honour everything our Year 13s have contributed to the school. It’s been a pleasure to be part of their journey. We’re incredibly proud of them all and excited to see what they do next. This year group have had exceptional offers for future study, including Oxford and Cambridge.”
The day concluded with opportunities for students to socialise, take photos, and enjoy their final moments together as a year group before exam season begins.
Kennet School wishes all Year 13 students the very best in their upcoming exams and future endeavours.
