Public Consultation

Have your say - Admission Changes for 2027

Kennet School, part of the Equinox Learning Trust, has launched a public consultation on proposed changes to its admissions arrangements from September 2027.

The proposals include:
- A reduction in the Published Admission Number (PAN) for Year 7 from 300 to 270, in line with demographic trends and financial sustainability.
- The introduction of three local primary schools — Francis Baily, Spurcroft and Whitelands Park — as named feeder schools, giving pupils from these schools’ priority in admissions.

The consultation runs from 6 October to 16 November 2025, and the school is inviting feedback from parents, carers, local schools, staff, governors, community groups and the local authority.
