Kennet is a vibrant, supportive, and purposeful place to work, offering diverse career opportunities across a wide range of roles. Staff frequently praise our welcoming and rewarding atmosphere, and we take pride in the number of employees who progress into leadership positions or return to Kennet after gaining experience elsewhere.
Why work at Kennet?
Kennet staff embody educationalist Dylan Wiliam’s mantra: "If we create a culture where every teacher believes they need to improve, not because they aren’t good enough but because they could be even better, there is no limit to what we can achieve."
- Evidence-Based Teaching: We have clear, evidence-informed, pragmatic approaches to teaching and learning
- Efficient Workload Management: Workload is closely monitored throughout the school year, and systems are refined to be as efficient and hassle-free so that teachers can spend as much time as possible focusing on the core component of their job: teaching.
- Minimal Paperwork: Paperwork and form-filling are kept to an absolute minimum.
- Supportive Leadership: Senior leaders ensure all teachers can teach without disruption. School rules are non-negotiable, and poor behaviour is met by escalating sanctions.
The safeguarding and well-being of our pupils are paramount. We adhere to rigorous, safer recruitment procedures for all job applicants.
