Key Stage 4
Our Level 2 Child Development course is a vocational course, which means it is more practical-based and assessed predominantly via coursework. It is a two-year course which gives pupils the skills and confidence to work with young children. Pupils not only gain academic knowledge but also gain practical skills needed to work within the childcare industry - from nutritional and well-being needs to understanding the developmental norms of a child from birth to five years of age.
Following on from this course, pupils usually select either of our Sixth Form T Level courses: Education & Early Years or Health.
